THE GLOBAL FRANCHISE MARKET SUCCESS STORY
After its conceptualization in 2015, the first edition of The Global Franchise Market (TGFM) was launched in 5 months.
During its beginning, TGFM was the underdog competing with 4 existing franchise events in Dubai. But with the perfect venue at Dubai World Trade Centre and support from our strategic partners, TGFM was able to pull off its 1st edition successfully.
Proudly, the first edition of TGFM witnessed the participation of 63 exhibiting brands, 1,658 attendees, from 52 countries.
The success was immediate and some exhibitors signed the multi-unit franchise deals. One exhibitor in particular shared how pleased he was with the event; he spent around AED 17,000 to book a stand and generated AED 1.2M ROI.
After the success of the 1st edition of TGFM, international entities started approaching us for partnerships. The size of the exhibition grew and the number of exhibitors increased in the succeeding editions. Country pavilions from Turkey, Saudi, Kuwait, Malaysia, and Baltic region were present. TGFM also started to cater franchise brands from different sectors such as health & beauty, education, services, retail and consultancy.
International franchise brands now see TGFM as an essential event to be present at.
The efforts of the organizing team ensured the success of TGFM. TGFM is very active in social media marketing, it was coincidental that franchise industry is very visual, so online marketing played a big role in spreading the word about the event and contributed to its success.
In 2019, TGFM launched the Franchise Business Hub, which is an exclusive business-matchmaking platform where pre-qualified investors have pre-arranged meetings with our exhibitors matching their interest.
In parallel to TGFM, INDEX has launched The Franchise Talk, a platform that delivers industry information, latest trends, franchise tips and most recent brand launches in the world of franchising. The Franchise Talk is dedicated to the Middle East Franchise community.
The next edition of TGFM will take place in 2021, this is to ensure that the event will deliver better experience and higher success rate to our exhibitors and visitor.
